Questions about bangles
What are Upakarna bangles made of?
316L stainless steel with 18K gold plating, finished anti-tarnish. They are gold-plated, not solid gold. Our 925 sterling silver pieces say so on their page.
Can I stack them, or is one enough?
One is a start. Three is a stack. Our bangles are made to layer without clashing: mix textures, add a charm bangle for movement, and keep to odd numbers if you want the easiest look.
Will they tarnish?
They are finished anti-tarnish and made for daily wear. Keep perfume and sanitiser off the plating, wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store each piece in its pouch, and the finish stays bright.
What sizes do the bangles come in?
Most are openable with a magnetic lock and fit wrists of 2.2 to 2.6 inches, with an inner diameter of about 6 cm. Cuffs adjust a little. The size guide shows how to measure with a thread and a ruler.
Are the bangles water-resistant?
Yes, every piece has a water-resistant design. Rain and monsoon days are fine; wipe it dry when you are in. Take it off before showering, bathing or swimming.
Can I gift a bangle?
Yes. Openable sizes take the guesswork out of fit, and you can add a gift box in the cart. Personalised pieces with an initial are usually dispatched in 1 working day.
How do I care for them?
